Dr. Caleb O. Pinegar, D.O., A.T.C.

Dr. Caleb Pinegar hails from Orem, Utah where he was raised and later attended college. From an early age and through junior high he enjoyed soccer and played competitively until an injury to his knee led him to a surgeon’s office. It wasn’t the time he was hurt, or the first time in that office! After learning about physical therapy during some of his earlier injuries, he initially thought that being a physical therapist would be greatly rewarding and began making plans towards a career in rehabilitation. But this trip to the surgeon’s office was different. This time therapy was an option, but continuing in the sport that he loved was not. He was shut down. He was advised to leave the sport of soccer forever. He was told that his injury could not be fixed and that soccer was no longer an option for him.

During that moment and during the subsequent therapy, he moved on from his desire to rehabilitate injuries. Now he wanted more. Now he wanted to do all that he could to take the job away from that surgeon. The one that told him he had to quit. The one that told him that he didn’t have any other options. The drive to overcome injury, to remain active, and to take the job of the surgeon that shut him down has stayed with him his whole life. Now, after collecting the knowledge, training, and the experience necessary to do so, he is more than ready to offer patients “options”. To offer his patients something that he was never given in that office that day.

Though not all gloom and doom, this migration away from competitive soccer opened new doors. Leaving team sports behind led Dr. Pinegar to chase more individual sports and he chased to the outdoors gaining experience rock climbing, cycling, skiing, and backpacking. As these sports replaced soccer he found joy in traveling and exploring and made friendships and experiences that blossomed his love and appreciation of the the outdoors. This has led him around the world to many countries and he continues to chase adventure in new places and at new heights.

Dr. Pinegar has been living and working in the Las Vegas area since 2017 and now spends his time divided between southern Utah and Las Vegas. He is the father of five amazing children that currently live and attend school in St. George, Utah. This requires a significant amount of planning, travel, and dedication!
